Pre Drywall meeting

We had our pre drywall meeting yesterday.  Everything went great.  The house looks so good!  It should be complete with drywall by the time we take a trip over there this weekend.  I am hoping to take pictures to post on our next visit!

We took a quick trip over to the house today to check out what is going on .  Most of the action is on the inside now and it looks like we will have our pre drywall meeting after Thanksgiving.  We took some time today and walk around and really looked at every room and tried to place furniture, etc. in each room.  Here is what we saw today:

WOW THEY MOVE FAST!

We had a chance to go by last night right as the crew was finishing up and then again this morning.  We took pictures last night but not this morning.  Here is what we saw last night:

When we went by this morning they were finishing the roof over the morning room and bonus room and starting to add the front porch.  I am excited to see what it will look like next time we go.  We are amazed every time we stop by and so thrilled to be able to see it go up!!!

I was able to sneak over to the lot this afternoon and catch the framing crew in action.  I walked around the whole lot scoping things out.  Looks like the first floor frame is done and they were working on the back and right side of the second floor.  Can't wait until I can walk in and see all the rooms.  Here are a few pictures from my visit!

Boring Post.... but a Post none the less!

Due to Sandy there was not much action in the beginning of the week.  We were suppose to have our lumber Monday or Tuesday and then framing was suppose to start.  Needless to say it did not, and that is fine, because I am sure there were more important lots/houses that needed attention before ours.  And, since our house wasn't framed yet I was not too concerned... anxious...yes.

We went to the neighborhood for Halloween and did some trick or treating/meeting the neighbors/spying on the other houses...heheh....we had a great time.  Everyone we met was very friendly and seemed like they like to have a good time.....which we are excited about.

We talked to the PM yesterday and got an update on the progress and when I went by this morning our lumber was there and was just waiting to be put up! YAY!  We will go by again this weekend to see the progress if there is any.  I didn't get out to take pictures because somebody fell asleep in the backseat!

One point that was brought up was the driveway and that we have a few options. We will have to discuss these at the pre drywall meeting.  I think I am going to need to be on the lot to visualize it before we make a decision.  Something that was mentioned was that we may be able to do a 23 ft wide driveway with an extra 5 feet in length past where they would originally end vs. a normal 25ft wide driveway.  Thoughts????
