We can see!!!!

There are a lot of things going on at the house that we finally got a good look at since we now have POWER!!!!  First off, the stone on the outside is starting to go up and we can't wait to see how it looks once its done.  We got a chance to see our house all lit up ( for the most part) and it brings a whole new look to everything.   We love our two chandeliers and are so glad we upgraded everything to nickel.  It just looks so good!!!!!! Our tile is almost done in the house. It looks like the biggest things we are now waiting on inside are flooring and appliances.  We are starting to get super excited!!! We did get locks put on (last night actually) so our visits might slim out a bit :( Anyhow, no pictures today.... I doubt there will be much done between now and the new year...... But...... You never know!

Better on the eyes!

We did our weekend visit and there was a lot ore things to look at!  Let's just say more exciting things such as it looks like the siding is complete and trim is in the works.  I can't wait to see the stone added to really tie things together.  On the inside the tile was being worked on and was up in the master bath, upstairs guest bath, and kitchen backsplash.  Our granite was also installed and looks amazing with our cabinets!  The floor was down in the laundry room and the hardwoods had been started in the powder room downstairs.  I am excited to see how it turns out once more is done.

I took quite a few pictures but since it was fairly gloomy around here all weekend most of them don't do the rooms justice.  Here is one picture though that turned out pretty good :)

GREAT VISIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, we went to the house TWO TIMES this weekend! Well, I went twice and my husband went once :)  I just couldn't resist and I wanted to walk my parents through to check things out as well.  When we went Saturday we were surprised to show up to a house NOT full of workers.  Usually they are working but we managed to go over when they weren't ( which we were kinda glad about).  We saw that our house had its first coat of paint, trim and doors, staircase, cabinets in the kitchen and cabinets and vanity in both bathrooms!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is really starting to take shape now!  Then when I went back today they were putting up the siding.  It looked really good.  I can't wait to see it done! I am concerned about the color of the railings on the stairs.  They will not be matching my floors which bugs me so we will have to have someone come in after we close and stain them for us.  The reason being is that we upgraded to the hickory floors which have a natural look and have black running through them.  Unfortunately, all of the stains RH offers are more of a true brown and thus none match our floors.   Anyhow, small detail that we will have to take care of.  I plan on having them stained black to match.  I'll attach a picture of what I plan to do, tell me what you think!!!

Notice the spindles will stay white and then do a black stain on the rails and the posts and the floor board.  We shall see how it comes together!

DRYWALL UP!!!

We headed over to the house today for our usual Sunday walk through.  Everything seemed to be starting to take shape.  There were two workers there finishing sealing the seams of the drywall.  It was finally starting to look like a house and it really gave us an idea of how each room would take shape.  Here are a TON of pictures we took just in random order.  ENJOY!!!
